We, SML LINE, provide marine transport service by conventional vessels not only between Japan and Taiwan/Hong Kong/South China but also South Asia countries. The SML Line has been in service for over 30 years, including the old days when it was in service under the name of "IZUMI LINE."  Not just at steel mills in Kashima, Wakayama, and Kokura, the liner also calls regularly at Funabashi, Osaka, and Kita-Kyushu, and has long been the choice of many customers as a special service for heavy cargo transportation.

The staff who has a deep understanding of the characteristics of cargoes, including those with experience as supervisor, are available to work with you.

The SML LINE utilizes state-of-the-art ships of box type. By using a rich store of know-how as built over many years of export of steel products for which a strict quality control is required, including the handling as specific to heavy cargoes, lashing to minimize load movement, and thorough safety control, we call for loading and discharging operations to realize high-quality transportation while preventing cargo damage. Also, in planning the transportation, the staff with an expertise of cargoes, including those with a previous experience as supervisor, is available to work with you.

This flexible handling most suited for the calling port, time of the year, and type/quantity of cargo is specific to conventional ships. Not just a transportation between Japan and overseas, we can also handle transportation between overseas and overseas. Also, thanks to a tie-up with other divisions, we can realize a sea/land intermodal transportation.

Loading is also performed by highly experienced operators. Thus, even when you are faced with an overwhelming difficulty or necessity for a high degree of care to be exercised for transportation, SML is here to serve you. We have solid experience in transportation, including plants and railway cars. We can also develop a plan for strength calculation, pedestal design, and special lashing method.
