Examples of this include a thick-plate container transportation system that dramatically shortened the time for loading thick plates, which had hitherto taken up a whole day and night, to only two hours is one example; a U-rack transportation system that substantially changed a concept of transportation of piping; a Ro-ro transportation system that realized an increase in efficiency through crane-less transportation of steel bars (e.g. coils and steel bars) (a ship equipped with this system acquired the Ship Of The Year 2000 award); and a Eco-packaging transportation system that is designed to work with simple packaging, which was developed as a means of environment-friendly logistics.
